Linocut Taster
A relaxed 2-hour introduction. Carve and print a small one-colour design and take it home the same day. No experience needed.
2 hours -- max. 10 people
Looking for Christmas card workshops?
Beginner Linocut Workshop
A fuller 3-hour session. Design, carve and hand-print your own lino block from start to finish, plus the basics of registration and inking.
3 hours -- max. 8 people
Intermediate Linocut: Reduction & Multi-block
For anyone who's done a beginner session before or has experience of linocut and wants to build on their skills. Learn reduction and multi-block methods to build up two or three colours in register.
4 - 6 hours -- max. 6 people

FAQs
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit inky! While I do use water-based inks or Caligo Safewash inks (which are water-soluble and easier to clean), it's best to wear an apron or old clothes just in case as the ink can stain fabrics.
Do I need any previous experience?
Not at all! The linocut for beginners workshop was designed specifically for complete beginners. During the workshop, I will guide you step-by-step through the printmaking process., from sketching a design to hand-printing your artwork. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve in a few hours!
Can I bring my own design?
Absolutely! If you have a design idea or sketch you'd like to work from, please bring it along. If you're not sure what to create, I will help you come up with ideas on the day. Simple, bold designs work best for a first linocut.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the workshop takes place. If you wish to cancel your place, please email hello@natashadavisart.co.uk. Cancellations with less than 2 weeks notice will not be refunded. Please double-check you can attend the workshop date before booking.
Can I take my art home?
Yes, you'll take home your hand-carved lino block and the print(s) you create during the workshop. You'll also receive a printmaking guide with tips for continuing your linocut journey at home which will be emailed out after the workshop.
Are workshops accessible?
Can I book a workshop as a gift?
Yes! Workshop places make wonderful gifts. You can purchase a gift voucher in my shop.
