You don't need experience or be able to draw well. Bold, simple shapes work well and I bring templates with me.

What happens at a linocut Christmas card workshop?
Never tried linocut before? Don't worry! These Christmas card workshops are designed for complete beginners, so you don't need any previous printmaking experience or fancy drawing skills.
I'll guide you through each stage of the process, from coming up with a simple Christmas design to carving your lino block and printing your cards by hand.
We'll start by looking at how linocut works and choosing a design that will work well for printing. You'll then learn how to safely use the carving tools to create your own lino block before moving on to the really satisfying bit: inking and printing!
One of the lovely things about linocut is that once you've carved your design, you can print it again and again. You'll be able to create a set of your own handmade Christmas cards, and you can experiment with different colours and layouts if you fancy getting a little bit adventurous.
You'll leave with your handmade cards, your carved lino block and the knowledge to continue experimenting with linocut at home.
