Demeter is a goddess from ancient Greek mythology, closely tied to the land and the harvest. She’s often seen as a symbol of growth and the life-giving cycles of nature. She’s also deeply connected to themes of motherhood and loss; her daughter, Persephone, was taken to the underworld, and in her grief, Demeter caused the earth to become barren. When Persephone returns each year, the land becomes fertile again, hence the changing seasons.
Printed on Japanese Awagami Hosho paper with deckled edges.
