A limited edition linocut print, hand-printed on Japanese HoSho paper, with mount.
The Sphinx is a limited edition of 50. This print was inspired by a statue tucked by the hedge maze at Bridge End Garden, Saffron Walden. The figure reminded me of the sphinx and her riddles, mysterious and timeless.
Due to the nature of printing by hand, there will be variations in every print. Each print is unique.
Each print is hand-pulled on off-white Japanese Hosho paper. This paper naturally has tiny speckles and fibres which can be visible on the paper.
